This large 4 bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home on a large 1368 meter lot is located in Monterrey, just across from Esterillos and within a mile and a half of the beach! The pool is situated on one side of the fully fenced backyard, and surrounded by a privacy hedge, just outside the very large screened in patio! The yard is very large, with lots of trees and plenty of green space in the front and the back of the 3200 sq ft home. The home has a large open kitchen, with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops, as well as plenty of storage, facing a sunken living room. There is a den with a sitting area over to the right, and the dining area over to the left! Behind the kitchen is the hallway to the two guest bedrooms, which share a bathroom. Monterrey is the only community of large homes on large lots close to the beach. There is no HOA, but owners do combine to pay a security guard for weeknights and weekends. Also, Monterrey is kind of hidden, there is no big entrance on the highway, and there is a set of condos on the hill in front of the community. Surrounded by a mix of pastures and jungle, the community has several lakes in the pastures around the area, as well as a central lake in the community. Located just across the highway from the beautiful beach at Esterillos Este (East), as well as near the beaches at Bejuco, Esterillos Oeste (West), and just 25 minutes from the exciting beach town of Jaco, with restaurants and shops, and plenty of activities. Don't want to drive to Jaco? The Town Center Plaza has a number of restaurants, shops, and a large grocery store just 3 minutes down the highway! The sleepy farming town of Parrita is 15 minutes down the highway with banks, hardware stores, and other shops and local restaurants. Just 25 minutes past Parrita is Quepos, the gateway to the Manuel Antonio National Park, the number one tourist destination in the country! Also, the International Airport is just under 2 hours away, making this Central Pacific area very convenient, a lot of things to do, plenty of beaches, and a fantastic place to live! Monterrey is a good mix of locals from San Jose who live there part time, snowbirds from the US, and a few vacation rental homes. These are large homes at a great price, don't get stuck in a gated community on a small lot in a smaller house for a lot more money!
